Ultra Space Camp: Getting Started with Ultra

Our Getting Started with Blackboard Ultra mission will cover the Ultra course view layout, ways to make your transition into Ultra easier, and how to prepare for liftoff by adding content to your Ultra course.

Ultra Space Camp: Transitioning Your Content to Ultra

Our Transitioning Your Content mission is a 2-hour workshop. The first half will be a guided walkthrough on how to transition your content from Original Course View to Ultra Course view and how to add new content from other sources. The second half will allow you to use what you have learned to continue transitioning content. Learning Technologies will be with you every step of the way for a successful mission.

Ultra Space Camp: Communication

The Communicating with Students in Blackboard Ultra mission will cover the different tools in Ultra that you can use to communicate with your students as a whole or individually, so they don’t end up on the dark side of the moon.

Ultra Space Camp: Gradebook 1

Our Gradebook mission will cover an overview of the Ultra Gradebook and how to set up your Gradebook to ensure that you and your students have a successful course flight.

Our Extended Gradebook Mission will be a 2-hour workshop that will cover an overview of the Ultra Gradebook and how to set up your Gradebook to ensure that you and your students have a successful course flight. This session will also provide a deeper dive into the Ultra Gradebook and settings.

Kahoot-it-Out: Harnessing Live Engagement Tools

Elevate your synchronous courses with H5P’s live engagement tools, including Emoji Cloud, Word Cloud, MultiPoll, and Single Choice Set, to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences.

Want to engage your students where they already are? How about empowering students to learn their own way with your content? Blackboard Ally allows students to download alternative formats of your course content.  It also provides feedback on how to make your content more accessible for all students, including students with disabilities. This course will help you learn to use Ally, both as a student and as an instructor.  

Blackboard for New Users

Online, Self-Paced

This 7-module course for new users covers the essentials of Blackboard, including basic navigation, the course menu, availability, communicating with students, and so much more. It is the perfect introduction for the beginner.
