YuJaPalooza is back again this year, with a fresh lineup of headlining acts!
What is YuJaPalooza? YuJaPalooza is our yearly YuJa training event (not sure what YuJa is? Learn More here). Or just head to our sessions! You can learn everything you need to know to get started with YuJa during our 6 weeks of sessions every Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Here’s what we’re offering this year:
Fundamental Funk
October 18 at 2 p.m.
Get an overview of the YuJa system and how to accomplish basic functions such as accessing the system, uploading content, and sharing the videos in your class section.
Call and Response
October 25 at 2 p.m.
We’ll take a look at how students can use YuJa for completing and submitting assessments, peer feedback, and more!
K-Pop Quiz
November 1 at 2 p.m.
We’ll look at how to create video quizzes in YuJa, embed them in your course sections, and track student progress.
The Edits
November 9 at 2 p.m.
We will be looking at the editing tool in YuJa and going over basic editing functions.
Metal Cognition
November 15 at 2 p.m.
This session will orient participants to features for learning in YuJa to improve comprehension and make your content stickier.
Jam Session
TBD at 2 p.m.
This session is divided into two 30 minute sections:
- Part I: A live demonstration of the YuJa Software Capture tool. LT Staff will show the features of the tool, how to use it to create video content, as well as some best practices to keep in mind while creating videos for your course. We will also cover how to post the video in Blackboard via the YuJa Media Chooser
- Part II: Faculty will create a video using the YuJa Software Capture tool and post it in a thread in a discussion forum via the YuJa Media Chooser in Blackboard.
